LED Indicator Guide

Understand what your gateway's LED is telling you

Normal Operating States

Solid White

Gateway is powered on

Your gateway is receiving power and ready to boot. This is the first light you'll see when plugging in.

Pulsing White

Booting up

Gateway is starting up. This process takes about 2-3 minutes. Be patient!

Pulsing Blue

Connecting to wireless tower

Gateway is connecting to Waveie's wireless network. Should complete within 30-60 seconds.

LED Off

Connected & Ready!

Your gateway is fully connected and working perfectly. The LED turns off during normal operation to save energy.

⚠️ Attention Required

Solid Amber

No wireless signal from tower

Gateway cannot connect to Waveie's wireless network.

Quick fixes:

  • • Move gateway closer to window
  • • Verify you're in Waveie coverage area
  • • Restart gateway (unplug 10 seconds, plug back in)

Pulsing Amber

Reestablishing tower connection

Gateway is attempting to reconnect to wireless tower after losing signal.

What to do:

  • • Wait 2-3 minutes for connection to stabilize
  • • Try moving closer to a window
  • • Contact Waveie support if persists beyond 5 minutes

Solid Magenta

Connected to network, but no internet

Gateway connected to Waveie network but internet access unavailable.

Troubleshooting:

  • • Wait 2-3 minutes - may be temporary network issue
  • • Restart gateway if problem persists
  • • Contact Waveie support if still no internet after restart

Pulsing Magenta

Firmware update in progress

Gateway is downloading and installing a firmware update.

⚠️ Important:

  • Do NOT unplug the gateway during update
  • • Update can take 10-15 minutes
  • • Gateway will restart automatically when complete
